11/21/2023 0 Comments Farmer mosh pit gifAs a 40 year old white woman I wanted to point out that Charleston might not have been the best place for him to preform. He made sure that all the females understood that he wasn’t posing for their pictures with him in anyway that would disrespect his woman. NLE Choppa was happy to meet his fans after the show. There was a lot of underaged drinking that night. Now on the venue…they did a terrible job keeping the crowd in check. You handled that situation better than I would have. Each and everyone of them disrespected you, but I’m sure they will put some respect on your name after the crowd had no problems pointing their flashlights on one of them. I would like to personally apologize for all the idiots throwing Michelob Ultra and White Claw cans in the crowd to the stage! I was in the back seated at one of the tables and had multiple full drinks thrown past me. That alone speaks volumes as to the kind of man he is. You can tell that he is a father because he saw the mosh pit was getting crazy and in my opinion wanted to keep them safe on stage. NLE did something I have never seen another artist do, he had all the little kids in the mosh pit come up on stage to dance with him and even let them stay up there until the end of his show. NLE showed mad respect by letting most of them come out and sing with him. He had a lot of special guests too: Shardae, Unghetto, Tune Hendrixx, Lil Eazzyy, Scorey, Gino2x, 4TM Draco and Baby Hot (I think there were a few more, but I can’t remember their names). We hope they make us a regular stop from here on tour! It was a great night, and it was worth being tired in class. (We beware second row and by the men’s room entrance.) Everyone looked like they were having fun playing. The bassist checking the men’s room at the end was funny and I saw a giant trough. Alex was a hoot - so fun, animated, and talented. He loves the being held like a big, ole baby line.) They play well together, and play off of each other. They played songs from across their entire catalogue, which was a delight. I kind of wish they had played longer, but that could be me being greedy. There was a pause/encore after 1 hour and they came back and played for another 35 minutes (it would have been disappointing if they only played 60 minutes). Then Spoon came on at 10 and gave a solid 90 minute show. She only got to play 30 minutes due to the late start, and she was hilarious and rocked the house. I will definitely listen to more of her catalogue. Nicole Adkins opened for Spoon and she was excellent. That was fine since it was Saturday night (I did have to get up at 5:30am for my graduate classes, but hey, it’s Spoon). The entire concert started later due to traffic issues (Welcome to SC). This is our third show and it did not disappoint. We saw them in Raleigh with Beck and Cage The Elephant, and went to Shaky Knees to see them last year. Next up, here's another story of entitlement, where a manager threatens their employee with bad marks on their 'permanent record' after they use one of their days off.The concert was a dream come true - Spoon in Charleston! We did not have to travel hours and out of state to see them! And they sold out in 2 days! We hope they felt the love and start making us a regular stop! Plus, we have Rodney Scott’s award winning BBQ on King Street, the original location! You have to come back for that. Scroll for the full, infuriating story of how one man's arrogance and poor planning cost his entire family their concert privileges. u/CrowBrainSaysShiny, an avid metal music fan and mosh-pit-charger recently put an entitled dad in his place after he endangered his small children by encouring them to push themselves to the front of the crowd at a metal concert. It's sort of a part of the dealio right? Well, apparently some parents think that it's not their responsibility to look after their kiddos and it's actually the job of strangers in public to make accommodations for your shortcomings as a parent. In this story, we follow the tendrils of dad-delusion when a man and his partner bring along three small children (under the age of 9) to a metal show. But for some reason, we keep seeing tales of parental entitlement expanding their territories into more and more insane places. And it's certainly no place for a small child. For anyone who loves accidental punches to the face, getting their toes stomped, and eating the floor before having a 250lbs man help them back to their feet knows that a mosh pit is not a place for the weak.
